This is my brand new design! When I first started this piece on canvas, I had a completely different vision. My original idea was to use crackling paste and create a simple painting in turquoise and golden brown tones. But something felt missing. I began experimenting and playing around with new ideas—and this is what came to life!
I had so much fun arranging various pieces of geodes and crystals to achieve the look I wanted. I’ll let you in on a little secret: the ammonites aren’t real. I made a mold from an actual ammonite and cast them in resin. Along with that, I used lots of gemstones and crystals throughout the piece. I’m really happy with how it turned out!
